A video is worth hundred pictures

Well, I have been asked to upload a video showing KPluginSelector, so here you are.

Please take in count (of course) it is being developed yet. Because of that is a good moment to share ideas and suggestions.

Whoa. Awesome! Looks so much better in terms of usability. And is your desktop really as snappy as in the movie (windows popping up immediately?) :-D

Looks great, much better than the old version. Two really minor points; firstly for me it was not obvious the ‘details’ would lead to a set of configuration options, not just to a more detailed description of the widget, I’m sure I’d figure it out quickly if actually playing with it though. Secondly I’m no usability expert, but following Fitts’ law it might be easier if the ‘Details’ button was bigger and/or nearer the checkboxes, maybe below the names rather than to the side. Other than that it looks really slick and polished.

I reacted the same way. Sure you’ll probably figure it out, but I think “Options”, “Preferences” or something along these lines would be much better.

Rafael, I really appreciate all the screenshots and videos you are showing. Just to let you know. Thanks!

  4. Thanks for your comments :)

Hans, yeah… I have changed the text to “More Options”
